Authorities said this sighting was from balloons that had been released that day, however, I’ve seen balloons released before and they never hovered in the same area for 2 hours. They usually drift away in the wind. There was a similar sighting in Texas that authorities said was due to an airshow – although it looks identical to this New York sighting. Kind of hard to fathom how balloons and an air show could look the same in the sky?!
